The Yoga Tree of Seattle offers expert instruction in the full experience of yoga.  Our teachers are dedicated to ongoing study, and bring a wealth of knowledge and practiced skill.  Each class melds classical tradition, modern insight and compassionate guidance.  Our teachers create a safe space for exploration, and are able to adapt the practices to suit any individual at any skill level in a small class size atmosphere. Most importantly, our instructors understand how to work with the subtler aspects of the body, mind, voice, energy and emotion.  They can teach you how to use yoga not only to stretch your hamstrings, but to balance your mood, cope with grief or anger, find your center, and move with more ease and grace through your daily life.
The Yoga Tree encompasses a wide range of approaches and practices, including physical postures, breathing exercises, chanting and meditation, among others.  All of these lead to compassionate self-awareness, working through physical experience to access, awaken and refine ever subtler depths of ourselves.  Whether you seek enlightenment or just a chance to stretch and strengthen, yoga can bring you back to yourself and back to your senses. Classes are small in size and are presented with awareness of and respect for the many different reasons people come to yoga, and the different challenges they may bring with them.  However far and in whatever direction you wish to explore within the practices of yoga, you will find support, encouragement and expert guidance here.

We are actively working to make our space safe and welcoming for all. Our studio will not discriminate against or refuse to provide teaching or professional help to any student, client or employee based on any protected class such as age, gender (including pregnancy), race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic status or genetic information. We will not discriminate in the workplace.
