Meet Our Excellent Instructors
Maraha’s classes merge technical precision with
inner clarity, harmonizing the
mind’s intention with the body’s wisdom. She is a
student of renowned teacher
Dona Holleman, and brings a depth of experience to her
teaching. Her classes are invigorating and focusing –
the perfect way to start the week.
Cicely leads her students in a slower-paced,
fluid vinyasa, emphasizing intention and clear
instruction. The Sanskrit word “vinyasa” means “to place
in a special way”. Cicely seeks to place movement,
breath, strength and flexibility in an intelligent and
unique manner.
Irene’s classes explore the place where strength
becomes elegance and ease becomes habitual. She
challenges students to tune in to themselves with
heightened curiosity and attention, so that yoga becomes
a practice of deep self-care. Classes move through a
full range of postures, emphasizing core stability and
smart alignment.
Ellen, a professor of voice at Cornish College of
the Arts, brings her knowledge of breath and poise into
her yoga. Her classes are responsive to the energy of
the group, incorporating asana, pranayama, yogic
philosophy and meditation to cultivate balance. These
classes foster a creative and poetic exploration of body
and spirit.
Jennifer is skilled in the therapeutic
application of yoga to promote healthy joints and spine.
She is also trained in Reiki, reflexology and yoga nidra,
a guided meditation practice. Her deep understanding of
the body and the psyche infuses her classes, as she
weaves chanting, breathing practices, and profound
introspection into her morning movement.
