Cicely
was introduced to yoga in 2000. Cicely's teaching reflects
her continual quest for anatomic intelligence and unique,
creative expression. She combines fluid, graceful movement
with a clear understanding of safe alignment, and her own
personal blend of sweetness and strength. She studies with
Theresa Elliott in Seattle and is influenced by her studies
of the body on the mat, throughout daily life and in her
work in wellness/health care.
Cicely writes, “I teach because the practice of yoga has
been a transformative and empowering aspect of my life. It
is a blend of everything that I love: a quest to know inner
and outer self, body and mind, laughter and seriousness, new
and old, movement and stillness. The information that we
obtain through a yoga practice offers a deeper understanding
of ourselves and gives us tools for how to live life with
authenticity and grace. Moving through gentle, playful,
delicious, dance-like patterns, you’ll be amazed to find
yourself in a challenging pose that feels supported and
dynamic.
In addition to diving into the practice of yoga, Cicely is a
Licensed Massage Practitioner who specializes in injury
treatment, prenatal, postnatal and wellness/relaxation
bodywork sessions. She is currently pursuing a Masters of
Acupuncture at the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine.
